Brandon United Football Co-operative (BUFC) is an academy-style soccer school officially launched in August 2018 as a registered incorporated co-operative. Approximately 50 children, aged 7 to 17, attended the inaugural practice at the Brandon Youth Soccer Association (BYSA) Fields in Brandon, Manitoba.
We have grown into a sanctioned football club under WRSA, as well as affiliated with Villarreal CF with over 150 children participating year round.
BUFC Academy's mission is to create opportunities for learning, guiding players to discover new skills and enhancing these in order for them to reach their full potential. At BUFC we strive to coach players technically, tactically, physically and psychologically whilst always providing a fun, safe and educational environment.
Our vision is to be a recognized soccer club that provides high quality soccer for the Westman region community at low cost, implementing technology and individual development plans for each child in our academy without forgetting our values. respect, loyalty, inclusivity and diversity. Following the foundations of BUFC Academy Technical Development Plan as they are the same philosophies of Canada Soccer Long Term Player Development (LTPD).
BUFC Dreams uses mentorship teaching methods under the guidance of former professional soccer players and knowledgeable team. Our methods include a mixture of European and South American indoctrination.
Our philosophy is that each player is a separate project with defined goals and pathways. Players are taught the technical and tactical part of the game that will enable them to perform at their highest level.
The areas of player and coach development are intertwined and codependent on one another. The aligning of these two pathways are crucial to BUFC player projects or IDPs (Individual Development Plans). Without strong consideration to the coach's education, the player will not develop to their full potential.
